Kansas City Anthony Bourdain
Unfortunately this was the best picture I could get without looking like a jackass, but that's Kansas City Anthony. Tall, skinny, and he was at the Flying Saucer enjoying some fine beer, so he appeared to like his alcohol just the same.
Kansas City Leonardo DiCaprio
That's me, with Kansas City Leo in the background making me some crepes. Every so often I run into people out in Kansas City that have some resemblance to the folks we see on television. I decided I wanted to start getting pictures with these people to share our version of the celebrity. Leo happens to work at Chez Elle making delicious sweet and savory crepes for breakfast.
On a sad note, we used to go to a fine place called Cafe Europa. There was an employee working the coffee bar that had a stunning resemblance to Tobey Maguire. A while ago we noticed he was gone. We went back a few times. Still haven't seen him. That was 50% of the draw to that place, and now it just doesn't seem the same.

New Places
I moved to Kansas City during the summer of 2008 for a job that I thought would be a good place to start a career doing something, anything, on the internet. I got a small one bedroom apartment that had a reasonably sized living room (but no room for a dining table) and never had any major problems. A couple years passed and my girlfriend (going on four years) and I decided to move in together. I had had a good experience in my complex, so we decided to look there. We ended up getting a two bedroom apartment, nearly 1,000 square feet, almost double the size of my previous place. Little did I know, all is not equal within a community.
